Jasper Goodall

Jasper Goodall
Jasper Goodall was born in 1973 in Birmingam, England. Jasper Goodall was at the forefront of the reinvention and rejuvenation of illustration in the late nineties and helped pave the way for the huge resurgence of the medium that we have witnessed in the last ten years.

Here is a interesting piece of work created by Jasper Goodall. I feel that part of this was created first by drawing and then being scanned in and copied up into a lovely final design and another part was with lines, shapes and symbols which looks great on the page. This style of work is quite plain however it has a lot of interesting factors such as the solid black upper body with the faded grey lower half which really make this piece look diverse. I like that there is not much colours used as it helps all the designs on this piece of work stand out in there own way, however if there was more colour used it would look so much more attractive.
I could use this black solid into faded grey effect in my poster design for text, or maybe even an illustration i create could be done in this way as its very unique.

Here is a second piece of work created by Jasper Goodall. This piece is an amazing piece. My reasons for this is that the whole image has its own bits of creativity. The image of the black women with stars in really sets a glamours feel to this piece while the colours of the smoke and the circles really give it a nice effect as they stand out but look really calm and subtle. The storm at the back really fits in well and makes this piece look really exciting and interesting.
I could use a really glamours star effect in my poster design as it will relate to what my poster is for and also make it look more luxurious and different.
